Our Story

Our story begins in the heart of the Mourne Mountains, a place known for its stunning landscapes and warm community spirit. It was here that our founder, Ruth Haugh, discovered her passion for baking.

Ruth is wife to Ned and mummy to Ezra & Izzy. In 2015, with the support of her family and a leap of faith, ruth decided to turn her passion into a business. She started Mourne Brownies in her home kitchen, using only the finest local ingredients to create her delicious treats. Each brownie was made with love, care, and a touch of magic from the Mourne Mountains.

The Mournes

Ruth grew up in a small village nestled among the Mournes, surrounded by the love of family and friends. Inspired by her grandmother's treasured recipes and the natural beauty of her surroundings, she began experimenting with baking at a young age. What started as a hobby soon became a calling, as Ruths brownies gained a reputation for their exceptional taste and quality
